HomesafeKids offers an abbreviated assessment dealing specifically with low-level glass.
Finely calibrated metering equipment used by a trained assessor enables glass to be thickness and status assessed, to determine whether it is safety-rated, laminated or float (non-safety) glass.
Recommendations are offered as to the treatment required to create a child-safe environment. This usually involves the application of safety film, however in some instances could involve replacement or protective barriers being installed.
A signed report is provided to the educator and council once the safety recommendations have been satisfied.
